In addition to the »basic function«, LookApp offers specific additional functions that can be purchased and activated according to the needs of the operational environment.

The basic function includes the provision of explanations of terms in sign language. When LookApp is activated by the website viewer, these are provided in the form of links on the website. These links play the explanatory video when the cursor is hovering over the link.

The additional functions can either be accessed by clicking on the plus symbol on the button Erklärungen einschalten and choosing the function or by clicking on the relevant button when an explanatory video is shown.

The following additional functions are offered:

• Feedback to Explanations of Terms
  A form is provided where the viewer can give feedback to an explanation. The feedback is provided in the back end of the LookApp.
  This function can either be accessed by clicking on the plus symbol on the button Erklärungen einschalten and choosing Feedback or by clicking on the Feedback button when an explanatory video is shown.
• Request for Explanations of Terms
  A form is provided so users can request more explanations of terms.
  This function can be accessed by clicking on the plus symbol on the button Erklärungen einschalten and choosing Gebärde anfordern.
• Video Rating
  Provides the option to rate an explanation of a term using a like/dislike button.
  This function can be accessed choosing the Like or the Dislike symbol next to the question War dieses Video hilfreich? (Was this video helpful?) when an explanatory video is shown.
• Explanation of Free Text
  Offers the possibility to enter or copy text into a text field. Terms within this text (that have an explanation in our database) are highlighted with links to the videos.

• Back End Access
  Provides access to the back end server of LookApp. Serves as an administration center for the implementation of the front end.
